Maidenhead Junior Chess Club meets on Saturday mornings during school term at Ridgeway School in Maidenhead from 9.30 a.m. - 11.15 a.m.

The club is suitable for children from age 6.

Club meetings allow the children to play games for most of the time with elementary instruction available. Some days are allocated for tournaments, under 11 training, under 9 training, or girls tournaments. The club programme is given below.

Some members play for Berkshire junior teams. The more experienced members progress to playing for Maidenhead Chess Club (The adult chess club in Maidenhead).

Costs are £3.00 for each Saturday morning (£4.00 for two members of one family, and £5 for three members).

A parent of a new member should complete the Club Member Registration Form, and, for younger members, stay for the first two weeks that the new member attends. It would be helpful if a parent could stay each week, and all parents may stay if they wish. The school is a non-smoking area.
